CCO Career Counselling Blog — Guides on Careers, Streams & Admissions
Clear, practical, no-nonsense guidance for Indian students and parents — from stream selection after Class 10 to careers after Class 12, college admissions, assessments and study abroad. Written by the CCO counselling team, grounded in 15+ years of one-to-one work with families, and free of any seat-selling agenda.
What this blog is for
- Explaining the big decisions — stream, course, college and career — in plain language
- Cutting through pressure, trends and well-meaning but biased advice
- Pointing you to the right assessment or guide for your exact stage
- Helping you decide with evidence, not guesswork
What You'll Find on the CCO Blog
The CCO blog is a growing library of unbiased, science-first guides that help Indian students and parents make the big career decisions with confidence — which stream after Class 10, which course after Class 12, how to approach college admissions, and how a proper assessment fits into it all.
We are building this blog the same way we counsel: honestly, and without a hidden agenda. CCO does not sell coaching seats, college admissions or visa services, so nothing you read here is written to push a product. Every guide reflects the same principle behind our counselling — the right path is the one that fits your personality, interests, motivators and aptitude, not what is currently fashionable or what worked for someone else.
Our first articles are being written and reviewed by the counselling team right now. While they are on the way, the categories below map out the topics we cover, and the "Start here" section points you to the in-depth guides that are already published and ready to read today.

Get Guidance Directly From a Counsellor
Guides explain the options — but they can't measure your personality, interests and aptitude, or tell you which specific path fits you. That's what a proper assessment and a one-to-one session are for. Every journey starts with a free discovery call: no pressure, no seat-selling, no hidden fees. Backed by 15+ years and 5M+ 1:1 sessions with Indian students and families, and rated 4.9/5 from 1,474 verified reviews.
CCO Blog — Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Does the CCO blog have individual articles yet?
The blog is organised as a topic hub while our first articles are being written and reviewed. In the meantime, our published guides — career counselling, career assessment, the stream selection test, DU and CUET guidance, career roadmaps and the career library — already answer the most common questions in depth. New articles are added to each category as they are published.
Q2. What topics will the CCO blog cover?
Seven core categories: stream selection after Class 10, choosing a path after Class 12, college admissions, career options and roadmaps, assessments and tests, parenting and career, and study abroad. Every article is written from an unbiased, science-first point of view — no seat-selling and no sponsored recommendations.
Q3. Are the blog guides free to read?
Yes. Every guide and resource on the CCO website is free to read. Personalised guidance — a psychometric plus brain-mapping assessment interpreted one-to-one by a counsellor — is a paid service, and it always begins with a free discovery call.
Q4. How often are new articles published?
New guides are added regularly as our counselling team writes and reviews them. Because timelines around exams and admissions change every year, we prioritise accuracy over speed and update existing guides when official dates or processes change, rather than publishing on a fixed calendar.
Q5. Who writes the CCO blog?
Articles are written and reviewed by CCO's counselling team, led by founder Varun Vohra — B.Tech, MBA (IIFT Delhi), with a background at Wipro, Lanco and MMTC. The team draws on 15+ years of one-to-one career counselling with Indian students and families.
Q6. Can a blog article replace a career counselling session?
No. A guide can explain options, processes and frameworks, but it cannot measure your personality, interests and aptitude or tell you which specific path fits you. That requires a proper assessment and a one-to-one session. Use the guides to get informed, then book a free call when you are ready for a personalised plan.
